Safari Routes...

1st Route

Starting from Chersonissos at 09:00 we head towards Kastelli, a 15-min. drive, and there we stop for coffee and breakfast for half an hour. After Kastelli, at a distance of about 5 km we reach the crossroad to Arkalochori. We continue straight ahead and after 2 km we reach Avli. It is at Avli that our first off-road drive begins. After an hour and ca. 10 km we arrive at Schinias. At Schinias we proceed with the second part of our jeep-safari, a 20 km-drive that take us through a gorge to Keratokambos, by the sea. There we stop for two hours and can have lunch and go swimming. After a 12 km-drive on tarmac towards Ano Viannos, we drive again on a dirt for 10 km and reach the village Karavado. At Karavado we make a 30-min.coffee-break and then head back towards Chersonissos and we reach it after one hour (a 30-km drive).

2nd Route

Our starting point is Heraklion, from where we head towards Anogeia, 45 km away. There we stop for 30 min. and can have coffee and breakfast. We continue towards Idaion Andron, and after 20 km we turn left, starting our first off-road drive, which lasts 1 hour and 30min. Our destination is the forest of Rouvas, where we stop for 20 minutes. We drive on for 8 km towards Zaros and to be precise its lake and we reach in twenty minutes (visit of the gorge). There we stop for two hours and have lunch. We then head towards Agia Varvara and after 21 km we head towards Dafnes, 10 km away. This last part of the drive lasts 30 min. At Dafnes we proceed with the second off-road drive that leads us to Foinikia, 15 km away, and takes about 1 hour to complete. In the end, we drive on towards Heraklion and within half an hour we reach the Airport of Heraklion, 15 km away.
